Ellison Protocol built the BrothBuddy app as a freemium application. This service is provided by Ellison Protocol and is intended for use as is.
Information We CollectBrothBuddy collects information you provide during onboarding including age, gender, weight, and wellness goals. We collect broth logs, fasting sessions, gut health check-ins, collagen intake, GLP-1 medication preferences, electrolyte logs, sleep data, mood scores, and transformation photos that you log within the app. We collect a randomly generated anonymous device ID to sync your data. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information unless you choose to provide it. We do not collect location data.
How We Use Your InformationWe use your data solely to provide and improve the BrothBuddy experience. Your wellness data is used to calculate your Broth Wellness Index, streak, gut health insights, GLP-1 companion guidance, and personalized protocol recommendations. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. We never have and never will display advertisements within BrothBuddy.
Data Storage and SecurityYour data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and synced to our secure backend servers hosted by Neon (PostgreSQL). Transformation photos are stored securely and are never shared publicly. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for all data in transit. Your data is never used to train AI models.
Apple HealthKitBrothBuddy integrates with Apple HealthKit to read steps, resting heart rate, sleep analysis, active energy burned, and body weight, and to write fasting sessions and hydration data. HealthKit data is used solely to enhance your in-app wellness tracking experience. We do not share HealthKit data with any third party, use it for advertising, or store it on our servers beyond what is needed to display your wellness insights.

Affiliate LinksBrothBuddy's Trusted Sources section contains affiliate links to third party vendors. BrothBuddy may earn a small commission from purchases made through these links. This never influences our recommendations. We only feature vendors we genuinely endorse.
Children's PrivacyBrothBuddy is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
Your RightsYou may delete all your data at any time by visiting the Profile tab and tapping Delete My Data. This permanently removes all your data from our servers within 30 days. You may opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings. You may request a copy of your data by emailing [email protected].
GLP-1 and Medical DataGLP-1 medication preferences, injection days, and nausea logs that you voluntarily enter into BrothBuddy are stored locally on your device and synced to our secure servers. This data is used solely to power the GLP-1 Companion features within the app. We do not share this data with pharmaceutical companies, insurance providers, employers, or any third party.
Changes to This PolicyWe may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the Last Updated date at the top of this policy. Continued use of BrothBuddy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
